Returned from Sarajevo to find overflowing garbage bins here on the east side. I assumed it was a strike of some kind. I asked around, and yes, the garbage collectors on the east side haven’t been paid in months. So, they went on strike. ( A regular occurrence, I am told.) On the west side, all is normal. Here, the garbage is flowing onto the sidewalk and onto the street. One can only hope the Bora wind doesn’t arrive before this is resolved.
