Many of the repaired and new houses are unfinished which allows for a clear examination of building techniques. Cinderblocks form the basis of each building. And a number are inhabited despite not having a final cladding of plaster. The double cinderblock makes for insulation but here, in Mostar, the concrete weeps and is damp.
