I am the only person out running in the streets and hills of Mostar. Everyday I run down a little narrow street, waiting as cars pass. Then I head up into the mountains, following a series of switchbacks. While it feels odd to be out alone, the air is clear and no one bothers me. Only once has a small white dog barked and chased me but then he got bored.
When I lived in Estonia, I also never saw a runner out, especially in the winter. But this summer, on a visit, I saw many runners and cyclists. So, perhaps, in time, running will be popular here. There is stunning landscape to run through for inspiration!
Here is a photo taken with my generic Mp3 player of the view I have at the peak of my run.
